It has been a great day!!!

I have had a hard time the last couple of weeks.  Emotions have been really close to the surface.  I have been spending way too much time on the computer and not enough time with the kids.  Then to top it off yesterday we had some struggles with the kids at church and I had had enough so I took the kids home and we had a discussion (after shutting myself in my room for a little while) about how they need to go to their class so Mommy can go to her class and about how much more fun for them their classes would be then mine would be.  Then later Sunday night we wrote up our family rules and I made a little time-out spot for them to sit on.

So far it has been working well.

So after all the drama of yesterday I was ready for a new day.

So to start the new day off I got to help out Sarah with her Cricut and getting her ready to install Sure Cuts A Lot on her computer.  We did some talking and it’s amazing how much an adult conversation can help you feel so much better.

Then I was going to take the kids out on a bike ride (we now have two bikes and a bike trailer and I only spent $30) and decided to go stop by Aubrey’s house and tell her about the craft day I’m doing on Thursday.   I wound up staying and visiting with her for a little while and I just found out that she knows Heather (one of my friends from high school).  Ari enjoyed playing with her little girl and actually didn’t want to leave so she stayed and played while Christian and I went on the bike ride.

On our way back from the ride I decided to stop by Shannon’s house. Shannon and I new each other a little when we were in the same church ward but then our ward was divided and we are now in different wards even though she only lives 2 blocks from me.  When she heard about Anthony she reached out to me and we have gotten to know each other better.  Shannon also has an Angel baby and it has been good to have her to talk to.  So it was nice to get to visit with her again and I probably did a little too much venting (sorry Shannon) but it was so good.

Then I went and picked up Ari and we came home.  I checked up on my blogs real quick and found out that I had won a contest I had entered into on That’s So Cuegly.

I couldn’t believe it when I saw my name but this is what I won:

and the anwer is......

The heating element from my dryer. It went out on Saturday and we had it repaired on Tuesday. We found out that the way the builders put in the venting system for our dryer it makes the dryer work overtime and if we are still here in 2-3 years we can expect to have to repair it again. Hopefully we won't still be here by then. So something to take note of is try to not have your venting system any longer than 4 ft, because for every foot past 4 ft it takes your dryer and extra 20 minutes to dry your clothes (just before it went out we had to run our loads through the drying cycle twice to get them dry).
